The bottom row: the final frontier
Z X C V B N M — the hardest reaches on the keyboard, because your fingers curl down instead of stretching up. Short hops; always return home.
Finger map for the bottom row
Left pinky takes Z, ring X, middle C, index V and stretches for B. Right index takes N and M, middle the comma, ring the full stop, pinky the slash. The most common beginner mistake is moving the whole hand down — don't. Curl one finger, press, and let it spring back to the home row.
The final lessons
- Lesson 10 — V and M: index fingers reach down.
- Lesson 11 — C and comma: middle fingers, plus punctuation for real sentences.
- Lesson 12 — X . Z /: the last keys on the board.
- Lesson 13 — Graduation: full sentences with capitals and punctuation. Pass it and you touch type.
